Alfredo Martín Oliver

Alfredo Martín Oliver is a Full Professor in the Department of Business Economics at the University of the Balearic Islands. He previously worked as a senior economist at the Bank of Spain (2003–2010) and is currently on leave from this role. His academic journey includes a Doctorate in Economics and Organizational Management (University of Zaragoza, 2010) and a Master in Finance from CEMFI (2003).

His research focuses on banking, financial crises, and corporate finance, with publications in high-impact journals in Economics and Finance. He has presented his work at numerous national and international conferences.

As a Principal Investigator, he has led projects funded by public and private entities. He served as vice-dean of the Faculty of Economics at UIB for seven years and has participated in Working Groups of the European Central Bank. His teaching spans undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including subjects like Family Business, Banking Management, and Corporate Finance.
