Alexei Tumanov

Alexei Tumanov, M.D., Ph.D., serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology & Molecular Genetics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) School of Medicine. Recruited in Fall 2016 after establishing his research lab at Trudeau Institute (NY) in 2011, he maintains laboratory space in the MED building (5.018V). His academic journey began at Russian State Medical University (M.D.), followed by Ph.D. training at Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology, and postdoctoral work with Dr. Yang-Xin Fu at University of Chicago.
