Alexandru Biris

Dr. Alexandru Biris serves as Chief Scientist and Director of the Center for Integrative Nanotechnology Sciences at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock since 2005 and 2009 respectively. He is also the Roy and Christine Sturgis Charitable Trust Nanotechnology Chair and a Professor in the Systems Engineering Department at the Donaghey College of Engineering and Information Technology.

His recent work focuses on nanomaterials for cancer therapy, stem cell differentiation, and solar cell optimization. He has secured significant Department of Defense grants for bone regeneration and tissue engineering projects.

Dr. Biris leads a multidisciplinary team conducting in vivo testing of nanomaterial-based delivery systems and collaborates on projects involving veterinary biomechanics and Mars exploration technology.
