Alexandros Lazanas

Dr. Alexandros Lazanas is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institut Català d'Investigació Química (ICIQ), affiliated with the research group led by Prof. Beatriz Prieto-Simón. He holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Ioannina, Greece, where his thesis focused on synthesizing inorganic low-dimensional materials for electrochemical sensors. He also completed a Master’s in Chemistry and Technology of Materials and a Diploma in Materials Science and Engineering from the same university. His postdoctoral work has included participation in two European scientific programmes.

Research Interests: His expertise spans 2D nanomaterial-based biosensors, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and the characterization of novel transducing materials. His work intersects analytical chemistry and materials science, with applications in sustainable catalysis and molecular medicine.

Affiliations & Collaborations: He is part of Prof. Prieto-Simón’s research group at ICIQ, collaborating on cutting-edge projects in electrochemical sensing and nanomaterials. His group includes PhD students and other postdoctoral researchers focused on advancing analytical methodologies.
