Alexandria Pipitone

Alexandria Pipitone is a Professor of Foundation Studies at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Atlanta since 2019. She previously held roles as a Sequential Art Project Specialist and Graduate Mentor at SCAD's Savannah campus (2016–18), and was a Lead Writing/German Tutor at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside (2013–14). Her academic background includes an M.F.A. in Sequential Art from SCAD and a B.A. in Digital Arts and German Studies from UW-Parkside.

Her research and creative work focus on sequential art, digital arts, and the intersection of German studies with visual storytelling. Notable achievements include the SCAD SEQA Mentorship Program (2016–17), an Academic Achievement Award (2015), and a Best Art award from the European Adventures Comics Contest (2014). Her publications span comic art (e.g., Guncats #3) and historical narratives (Sailor's Burial Ground), complemented by exhibitions like Escapades at SCAD’s Gutstein Gallery (2017).

Pipitone’s academic contributions include curriculum development in foundation studies and mentorship in graduate art programs. She has actively participated in SCAD’s Top 20 exhibitions and continues to bridge traditional art education with contemporary digital practices.
