Alexandre Sevrin

Alexandre Sevrin is a Professor at the Faculty of Sciences, Department of Physics at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). His research focuses on theoretical particle physics, string theory, and quantum field theory, particularly exploring beyond the Standard Model physics. He has been actively involved in gravitational wave research, collaborating with major observatories like LIGO, Virgo, and KAGRA. Sevrin holds prestigious roles including membership in the Royal Flemish Academy and the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP).

His research spans high-energy physics, with recent projects addressing gravitational wave detection, pulsar timing arrays, and axionic domain walls. Notable contributions include studies on neutron star mergers and FRB-GRB correlations.
