Alexandra Silva is a Professor of Computer Science at Cornell University and holds an affiliation with University College London (UCL), where she was previously a Royal Society Wolfson Fellow and Professor of Algebra, Semantics, and Computation. Her research focuses on the modular development of specification languages and algorithms for computational models, leveraging coalgebraic methods and probabilistic systems.
Education and Background: Silva's academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Theoretical Computer Science from Radboud University Nijmegen, supervised by Prof. Jan Rutten and Dr. Marcello Bonsangue.
