Alexandra Seehaus is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Employment Relations, Innovation and Change (CERIC) within the Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds. Her research focuses on class relations, precarisation, and technological change in the world of work, with a particular emphasis on platform workers' experiences and perceptions of inequality. She holds a PhD in Economics and Business (current candidate) from Leeds University Business School, an MA in Economic and Financial Sociology from Goethe University Frankfurt, and a BA in Social Science from Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg.

Research Interests: Her work explores the normalization of precarity, class consciousness among young and platform workers, and the future of work. She employs comparative qualitative methods and mixed-method approaches to analyze labor relations in financial capitalism. Current projects investigate perceptions of class conflict among platform workers globally, building on her doctoral research into food delivery couriers in Germany and the UK.
Awards/Grants: Funded by the Work and Employment Relations Department for her PhD (2019–present). Previously involved in the PREWORK project (Free University of Berlin) on precarious youth labor in Poland and Germany.
Labs/Teams: Active at CERIC and collaborates internationally on studies of platform economies and labor dynamics.
