Alexandra Scacco

Alexandra Scacco is a Professor at the Department of Social Sciences within the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Hamburg. She is also a Senior Research Fellow and Deputy Director in the Department of Institutions and Political Inequality at the Berlin Social Science Center.

Her research focuses on individual decision-making under extreme risk, particularly in contexts of political violence, post-conflict reconciliation, intergroup relations, and irregular migration. She employs field-based observational and experimental methods to study these phenomena.

In the summer semester of 2025, she will teach a seminar titled "Intergroup Relations" in English, held biweekly on Thursdays from 10:15–13:45.
