Dr. Alexandra Kruse serves as a Researcher in the Department of Sustainability Science and Applied Geography at the University of Greifswald, Germany. Her work bridges environmental social science and practical conservation, with emphasis on human dimensions of sustainability in rural landscapes across Europe.
Her core research interests include:
- Environmental perception and behavior change mechanisms in conservation contexts
- Analysis of social-ecological systems with rural focus
- Environmental governance and policy instruments
- Communication dynamics between agriculture and nature conservation
- European cultural landscapes and UNESCO World Heritage management
