Alexandra Kather

Alexandra Kather serves as Assistant Professor and Group Leader within the Nanoscale Quantum Materials Department at the Max Planck Institute for the Structure and Dynamics of Matter in Hamburg, Germany. She maintains a dual institutional affiliation through the Center for Free-Electron Laser Science (CFEL), a collaborative research hub involving DESY, the University of Hamburg, and the Max Planck Society.

Her research centers on quantum phenomena in nanoscale materials, investigating emergent electronic and magnetic properties at atomic dimensions.
