Alexandra Firsova

Alexandra Firsova is a Research Fellow at the Department of Molecular Biosciences, The Wenner-Gren Institute, Stockholm University. Her work focuses on the genetic programs underlying the formation of branched tubular organs, including lungs, kidneys, and the vascular system.

Research Interests:

• Elucidating evolutionary conserved mechanisms of epithelial tubular network formation.
• Investigating molecular pathways in developmental biology using model organisms.
• Applications in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.
