Prof. Dr. Alexander F. Wagner is an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Zurich's Department of Finance and Senior Chair at the Swiss Finance Institute. He holds leadership roles including Chairman of the Executive Education at the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Informatics, and Co-Head of the UZH Center for Crisis Competence. A Harvard PhD graduate, his research focuses on corporate finance, sustainable finance, and behavioral economics, with notable work on honesty in business, biodiversity's financial impact, and crisis management. He has served as an independent counsel for PricewaterhouseCoopers and chairs SWIPRA, a Swiss proxy advisor. His interdisciplinary approach bridges academia and practice, addressing global challenges like climate policy and market ethics.
