Alexander Ort

Dr. Alexander Ort is a Lecturer and Research Officer in Health Communication at the University of Lucerne's Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine. His research focuses on health communication, health psychology, and the social determinants of health, employing quantitative and psychophysiological methods. He teaches courses on health sciences, health promotion, and research methods, co-authoring a student textbook in health communication. Ort actively contributes to professional organizations like the International Communication Association (ICA) and serves as co-chair of the Health Communication section in the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Publizistik und Kommunikationswissenschaft (DGPuK). He also holds governance roles, including board member of the University of Lucerne's Mid-level Staff Organization (MOL) and Senate member.
