Alexander Oppermann

Prof. Alexander Oppermann is a Professor of Electronic Media at Offenbach University of Art and Design (HfG Offenbach) since 2013. He leads the AI laboratory established in 2022 and co-founded the artist/design studio saasfee* in 1998, specializing in experimental media installations, brand concepts, and spatial interventions. His work bridges art, technology, and public space through light sculptures, interactive installations, and sound-driven environments.

Education: Studied Visual Communication at HfG Offenbach with a focus on audiovisual media, painting, and graphic design.

Research Interests: Electronic media experimentation, interactive design, light architecture, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and the intersection of art with corporate/commercial branding. Key projects include the 18-story 'Illuminated Questions' light sculpture (2011) and the ongoing saasfee*pavillon exhibition space since 2008.
