Dr. Alexander Münch is a leading researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research Dresden, heading the Keylab upCoat and the Cluster Scalable Controlled Interfaces. His work focuses on developing smart polymer films, functional polymers via controlled radical polymerization (RAFT/ATRP), and exploring applications in antimicrobial coatings, adaptive surfaces, and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for gas chromatography.
- Coordinates projects like SWAMpaper, Apollon, and E-Brush (2015–2028) with institutions such as IFAM Bremen, PTS Heidenau, and TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
