Alexander Morell

Alexander Morell is Professor of Law at the University of Mannheim, holding the chair for Private Law, German and European Business Law, and Corporate Tax Law since May 2020. He previously served as stand-in professor for the same chair since spring 2019 and was a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute starting in 2006. His doctoral work was supervised by Christoph Engel (law) and Oliver Kirchkamp (economics).

His research focuses on three interconnected areas:

• Private law systems and jurisprudence
• European business regulatory frameworks
• Corporate taxation law and policy
