Alexander Lanzon

Prof. Alexander Lanzon is Chair of Control Engineering at the University of Manchester, where he directs the Control, Dynamics and Robotics Laboratory and leads research in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Research Focus:

• Robust/nonlinear control via passivity and dissipativity methods
• Negative imaginary systems theory for precision motion control
• Multi-agent coordination for UAV swarms and robotic networks

His recent publications demonstrate theoretical advances in stability analysis frameworks and applications to energy storage optimization and aerial swarm control. This reflects dual emphasis on fundamental theory and engineering implementations.
