Alexander Felfernig

Alexander Felfernig is a full Professor at Graz University of Technology, Austria, where he leads the Applied Software Engineering & AI (ASE) research group. He earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Klagenfurt and has been a key contributor to AI and software engineering research since 2009.

His research focuses on intelligent systems, particularly in the domains of recommender systems, knowledge-based configuration, model-based diagnosis, and software requirements engineering. He investigates the intersection of human decision-making and AI, with growing interest in sustainability within computing systems. His work emphasizes practical applications of AI in software engineering and user-centered systems.
