Alexander Adamson is a Researcher (Medical Statistician) at Imperial College London's School of Public Health within the Faculty of Medicine. He has been affiliated with the National Heart and Lung Institute (NHLI) since 2017 and completed his PhD in 2022. His roles include working on UK-wide secondary care audits for respiratory diseases and analyzing Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) data. He previously contributed to the Horizon 2020 Aging Lungs in European Cohorts study until 2019.

His research focuses on Bayesian statistical methodologies applied to electronic healthcare records, with specializations in respiratory epidemiology and public health analytics. He actively collaborates on projects addressing asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) through the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP).
Current projects include large-scale data analysis of GP records via the CPRD, contributing to evidence-based clinical decision-making in respiratory medicine.
