Professor Alex Stojanovic serves as Head of School for Accounting, Finance & Economics at the University of Greenwich's Faculty of Business. He additionally directs the Centre for Governance, Risk and Accountability and co-directs the Institute of Political Economy, Governance, Finance and Accountability (PEGFA), focusing on interdisciplinary analysis of economic and corporate systems.
His academic foundation includes a BA in Economics (Honours) from Belgrade University and advanced degrees (MBA and PhD in Finance) from Bayes Business School, London. Professional experience spans commercial banking at Komercijalna Banka Belgrade and international projects with the Bank of England on payment systems and Euro impact studies.
Research critically examines corporate governance frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and political-economic intersections through behavioural finance and regulatory lenses. His work emphasizes practical applications in banking regulation and corporate social accountability, bridging academic theory with industry practice via the Centre and PEGFA initiatives.
Prof Stojanovic contributes extensively to executive education as a visiting Lecturer for Bayes Business School's Executive MBA programme, while his prior role as founding Director of Research at Bradley Financial underscores strong industry-academia integration in financial consulting.
