Alex Molnar

Alex Molnar is a Research Professor and Director of the National Education Policy Center (NEPC) at the School of Education, University of Colorado Boulder. He has held leadership roles at the Center for Education Research, Analysis, and Innovation (CERAI) at University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and the Education Policy Studies Research Laboratory (EPSL) at Arizona State University. His expertise spans education policy, school commercialism, and curriculum studies.

His research also examines market-driven education reforms and policy evaluation frameworks, particularly through the lens of democratic ideals in education systems.

He has contributed to literature on education policy quality through co-authored books such as Think Tank Research Quality: Lessons for Policymakers, the Media, and the Public (2010) and Commercialism in Education: From Democratic Ideal to Market Commodity (2005).
