Alex Lemon serves as Professor and Director of TCU's Master of Liberal Arts Program within the English Department of the AddRan College of Liberal Arts at Texas Christian University. Lemon's research and creative interests center on Creative Writing with specializations in 21st Century Literature, Contemporary Poetry, and Contemporary Creative Nonfiction. His work is deeply informed by Disability Studies, reflecting his personal experiences with multiple strokes during his college years and the subsequent recovery process. His writing often explores themes of bodily transformation, medical trauma, and the intersection of physical and emotional recovery.
His publications reveal a consistent trajectory of transforming personal health crises into artistic expression, with a particular focus on memoir and poetry that challenges conventional narrative forms.
