Professor Alex Douglas is a faculty member at the University of Aberdeen, affiliated with the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition and the Biostatistics and Health Data Sciences group. His research spans diverse fields including genomics, nutritional programming, aquaculture health, and metabolomics, with a focus on maternal exposures and long-term health outcomes in mice models. Recent publications highlight his work on genome-wide association studies in rice, gut microbiota in Atlantic salmon, and environmental toxicology in fetal development.
