Dr. Alex D. Ketchum is an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies at McGill University. She directs the Just Feminist Tech and Scholarship Lab and organizes the 'Disrupting Disruptions' speaker series focused on feminist and accessible publishing, communications, and technology.

- MA in History and Women and Gender Studies from McGill University
- Honors BA in Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Wesleyan University
Ketchum's research integrates food studies, technological history, queer history, and gender history. Her work examines feminist and LGBTQ+ spaces, including restaurants and digital activism. She is currently researching the history of LGBTQ+ cyber activist organizations in Canada, the U.S., and the UK from 1992 to the present.
She authored two peer-reviewed books: Engage in Public Scholarship! (2022), which explores academic accessibility, and Ingredients for Revolution (2022), documenting feminist restaurants in the U.S. She also contributes to journals like Feminist Studies, Feminist Media Studies, and Digital Humanities Quarterly.
Ketchum founded The Feminist Restaurant Project and co-founded The Historical Cooking Project, alongside creating the LGBTQ2S+ US and Canadian Archives Directory. She advocates for inclusive event practices and sustainable academic communication.
