Alex D Federman

Dr. Alex D Federman is a Professor in the Department of Medicine (General Internal Medicine) and Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He practices general internal medicine with clinical interests in preventive medicine and hypertension management. He holds an MD from SUNY Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn, an MPH from Harvard School of Public Health, and completed his residency at Montefiore Medical Center.

Research Focus: Dr. Federman's work examines healthcare access and costs for low-income and elderly populations, supplemental insurance impacts, patient-provider communication about costs, and pharmacoepidemiology.
