Aleta Ostlund

Aleta Ostlund is a Lecturer in the Department of Consumer Affairs within the College of Health and Human Services at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). Since 1996, she has been teaching undergraduate courses focused on personal finance and consumer affairs.

Education:

• Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Consumer Affairs – California State University, Long Beach

Research Interests:
Her academic focus centers on Personal Finance, particularly as it intersects with consumer decision-making and financial literacy. She integrates practical financial skills into her teaching to empower students in managing personal and household finances effectively.

Professional Activities:
In addition to her academic role, Aleta is the owner and operator of Ostlund Health Care Solutions, Ostlund Vacation Properties, LLC, and Ostlund Equities, bringing real-world business and financial experience into her classroom instruction.
