Alessio Ferrari

Alessio Ferrari is a Professor at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland. He serves as a guest professor at the Research Institute in Civil and Mechanical Engineering (GeM) at Centrale Nantes, where he was invited to present a conference on November 8, 2022.

His research focuses on multiphysical geomechanics, particularly in the context of underground nuclear waste disposal. Professor Ferrari specializes in understanding the complex thermo-hydro-chemical-mechanical phenomena that occur in geological repositories for nuclear waste.
