معرفی
Alessia Bacchi is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Parma, specializing in crystal engineering and responsive hybrid materials. She served as President of the European Crystallographic Association (2015-2018) and currently acts as Trustee of the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Center (since 2018). Her research focuses on crystal form design, molecular recognition in solid/gas exchanges, and stabilization of volatile compounds within MOFs and cocrystals.
Bacchi actively contributes to science outreach, founding Parma's Museum of Crystallography (2015) and organizing events like the 2014 CRISTALLI! exhibition, which attracted 12,500 visitors. She has published over 170 journal articles, 5 book chapters, and presented 150+ conference communications.
Research Trends: Her recent 2025 publications emphasize mechanochemical synthesis, solvent uptake/release mechanisms in MOFs, and structural stabilization strategies for pharmaceutical/environmental applications.
- National award for young scientists in crystallography (2000)
- Chair of international microsymposia and scientific committees
