Alessandro Rovati

Dr. Alessandro Rovati is an Associate Professor of Theology and Department Chair at Belmont Abbey College. He directs the Diaconal Formation Program and convenes the 'Art and Practice of Teaching Theology' section of the College Theology Society. His research focuses on moral theology, Christian ethics, and Catholic social teaching, with particular attention to papal teachings (e.g., Benedict XVI, Francis) and the intersection of theology with political philosophy.

Education: B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano. His academic mentors include figures such as Joseph Ratzinger and Stanley Hauerwas.
