Alessandra Parisio

Alessandra Parisio is Professor of Control of Sustainable Energy Networks at University of Manchester's Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, where she serves as Postgraduate Taught Director.

Research Leadership: Develops model predictive control strategies for energy networks, distributed optimization methods for grid flexibility, and management systems for multi-energy networks. Leads £7M+ projects from EPSRC, Innovate UK and industrial partners.

Honors: Recipient of IEEE PES Outstanding Engineer Award (2021) and Energy and Buildings Best Paper Award (2019).

Professional Service: Senior IEEE Member, Co-chair of IEEE RAS Smart Buildings Committee, and Editor for IEEE Transactions on Control of Network Systems.
