Alessandra Di Pisa is an Associate Professor and Head of Division at Linköping University's Department of Management and Engineering (IEI), affiliated with Malmstens Linköping University. Her work bridges artistic research, AI ethics, and transdisciplinary collaboration. She holds an MFA from the University College of Arts, Crafts & Design (2006) and a BA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths College (2003).
Her research explores AI and robotics through an eco-centric lens, exemplified by projects like Technoecology - Performing Computation and Aesthetic Sensibility, funded by the Swedish Research Council. Collaborations include IBM and KTH, focusing on synthetic philosophy and human-machine interaction. Notable outputs include a 2021 chapter in Aesthetics, Organization, and Humanistic Management (Routledge) and essays on AI's role in redefining creativity.
Awards include grants from the Swedish Research Council (2024), Swedish Arts Grants Committee (2022), and Kulturbryggan (2016). She advises on projects like Enchanted Threads of Visual Archana and Being Unthinkable..., an interactive AI sculpture.
