Aleksandra Lis-Plesińska is an Associate Professor in Social Anthropology at Adam Mickiewicz University (AMU), Poland, affiliated with the School of Humanities. She earned her PhD from Central European University (Budapest, 2013), focusing on carbon markets in the EU. Her research emphasizes socio-technical transitions in energy/transport systems, public perceptions of technological risks, and science-policy dynamics in energy/climate governance. A former Fulbright Senior Scholar at UC Berkeley and research fellow at European/U.S. institutions, she leads projects on energy security, shale gas, and sustainable mobility. Key affiliations include the AMU Research Centre for Energy and Environmental Challenges.
