Aleksandra Dziurosz is an Associate Professor at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, specializing in modern dance, choreography, and stage movement. She is a co-founder of the Warsaw Dance Theatre and director of the Warsaw Dance Days International Festival. Her roles include Artistic Manager of the Chopin University Dance Company and creator of the Warsaw Dance Centre programme.
- Education: State Ballet School in Bytom (1999), Ballet Pedagogy with honours (2003), Postgraduate Studies in Theory of Dance at FCUM (2007).
Her research interests focus on contemporary dance techniques, improvisation, and interdisciplinary performance creation. She has choreographed works for institutions like the Polish Dance and Ballet Theatre, Dance Theatre Kielce, and Universal Theatre Warsaw, blending dance with theatre and opera.
- Awards: Includes the Main Choreographical Award for Best Solo Performance (2010 Budapest Festival) and multiple scholarships from cultural and scientific foundations.
She has served on national/international dance competition juries and holds roles in organizations like the Scholarly Council of the Institute of Choreology and ZASP (Association of Polish Stage Artists). Her artistic research includes residencies at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (Zurich).
