Aleksander Jan Ksiazkiewicz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and an affiliate at the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology and the Center for Social & Behavioral Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He holds a Ph.D. (2015) and an MA (2011) from Rice University, an MA (2008) from the University of Chicago, and a BA (Honours) (2007) from the University of Alberta.
His research focuses on three primary streams: genetics and political ideology, implicit cognitive processes in political behavior, and chronobiology's intersection with political attitudes. He integrates behavioral genetics, implicit social cognition, and chronobiological methodologies to explore how genes, psychology, and temporal patterns influence political engagement, media consumption, and societal structures.
He has been recognized with the
