Aleksandar Dj. Lolic is a Full Professor at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from the same institution (2012), with prior master’s (2006) and undergraduate (1999) degrees. His career spans over two decades, progressing through roles including Graduate Assistant (2003–2007), Teaching Assistant (2007–2014), Assistant Professor (2014–2019), and Associate Professor (2019–2024) before attaining his current rank. He is affiliated with the Serbian Chemical Society and actively participates in faculty governance, including roles on admission committees and the Faculty Board.
His research focuses on developing analytical methods for environmental and pharmaceutical applications, particularly flow-injection systems with electrochemical detection and sensors for pollutants and pharmaceutical ingredients. Notable projects include the IMPTOX initiative (2021–2025), funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020, investigating microplastics’ combined toxicity with contaminants. Earlier work includes environmental monitoring projects supported by Serbia’s Ministry of Science.
His publications highlight advancements in electrochemical sensors, heavy metal analysis, and pharmaceutical residue detection in environmental samples. Collaborative efforts span institutions in Portugal, Bosnia, and Serbia. He teaches courses such as Flow Methods in Analytical Chemistry and contributes to research groups focused on biologically active compounds and analytical sensor development.
