معرفی
Alejandro Miguel Bozo Gonzalez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Forest Products Development at the Faculty of Forestry Sciences and Nature Conservation, University of Chile. With a 44-hour work schedule, he teaches undergraduate courses in physics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and applied engineering to forestry.
Education
- Doctor, University of Washington (2002)
- Master, University of Chile (2000)
- Forestry Engineer, University of Chile (1991)
Research Interests
His work focuses on wood technology, composite materials, and termite control. Recent projects include structural reinforcement of laminated wood with polymeric fibers and evaluating mechanical behavior of carbon-fiber-reinforced composites. Publications highlight long-term field studies on wood-plastic composites and ultrasonic termite prevention methods.
Grants
- INNOVA Innovate Program (2011-2012): Development of structural components of laminated radiata pine wood reinforced with polymeric fibers
Advising
He has supervised 15+ theses and dissertations, including studies on wood density variability, adhesive performance in laminated elements, quality management systems for structural panels, and thermal modification techniques for wood permeability.
