Alejandro Domínguez Fernandez serves as a Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering (EM) within the Barcelona School of Industrial Engineering (ETSEIB), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). With a focus on manufacturing technology and industrial engineering, he has directed numerous Final Degree and Official Master's Projects.
- Education includes: Degree in Engineering in Industrial Technologies (2010), Master's in Automotive Engineering (2012), Master's in Industrial Engineering (2014), Master's in Research in Mechanical Engineering (2021).
His research interests span Additive Manufacturing, Milling Process Optimization, and Tooling Design. Recent projects involved 3D printing applications, milling surface finish analysis, and automotive component manufacturing. He specializes in Surface Topography and Manufacturing Process Simulation.
He has advised 19 students across diverse projects, including motorcycle component substitution with additive manufacturing, precision machining analysis, and food-industry 3D printing integration.
