Albrecht Gensior

Univ.-Prof. Albrecht Gensior is a university professor at Technische Universität Ilmenau since September 2021, leading the Group of Power Electronics and Controls in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. He previously worked at TU Dresden where he completed his doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) in 2008 on flatness-based control for power electronic systems, later establishing an independently funded research group focused on nonlinear control methods in 2013.

His research emphasizes model-driven approaches for power electronics applications, supported by DFG and industrial grants. He has authored over 40 journal/conference papers and patent applications. In 2019, he conducted a research-teaching visit at Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María in Chile. His expertise spans power conversion systems, advanced control methodologies, and interdisciplinary engineering solutions.
