معرفی
Alberto Salleo is the Hong Seh and Vivian W. M. Lim Professor and Professor of Photon Science in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University. He leads the Salleo Research Group, which investigates charge transport in organic semiconductors, bioelectronics, biosensors, and neuromorphic computing. His work bridges fundamental material science with applications in sustainable energy and healthcare.
He received his PhD in Materials Science from UC Berkeley in 2001.
Research interests focus on:
- Organic mixed ionic-electronic conductors for bioelectronics and neuromorphic devices.
- Structure-property relationships in polymeric and nanostructured thin films.
- Advanced characterization techniques for soft materials, including cryogenic electron microscopy.
- Development of biomimetic sensors (e.g., mucus-on-a-chip, pathogen-detection platforms).
Recent publications (2023–2025) emphasize bioelectronic interfaces, sustainable polymer design, and neuromorphic materials. Dominant themes include organic electrochemical transistors, conjugated polymers for energy/sensing, and structure evolution in hydrated materials.
He directs the Salleo Research Group, which pioneers novel fabrication techniques for flexible electronics and collaborates on interdisciplinary projects in biotechnology and photonics.
