Alberto Martinez Abellan

Alberto Martinez Abellan is an Adjunct Associate Professor (part-time) at the University of Murcia's Faculty of Sports Sciences, Department of Physical Activity and Sport. His research focuses on sports science, particularly the effects of dehydration on combat sports performance and neuromuscular psychology. He is associated with the UMUSPORT research group.

He earned his Doctorate from the University of Murcia in 2015 with the thesis: *Efectos de la deshidratación sobre el rendimiento específico, neuromuscular y psicológico en deportes de combate* (Effects of dehydration on specific, neuromuscular, and psychological performance in combat sports), supervised by Dr. Ernesto de la Cruz Sánchez, Dr. Jesús García Pallarés, and Dr. José María López Gullón.
