Alberto Leon-Garcia is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto, affiliated with the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. His research focuses on networking, software-defined infrastructure, smart infrastructure, extended cloud computing, switch architecture, and traffic management.

He has authored leading textbooks like Probability and Random Processes for Electrical Engineering and Communication Networks: Fundamental Concepts and Key Architecture.
