Alberto Balfagón Costa

Alberto Balfagón Costa is a Full Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at IQS School of Engineering, Ramon Llull University. His research spans multiple fields including encapsulation for controlled release, micro-reactor technology, chemical product formulation, and cosmological applications of General Relativity.

His recent publications emphasize chitosan-based biomaterials for skin simulation and fragrance delivery systems.

Collaborations & Projects:
He leads the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Group (GQF) and has secured grants from AGAUR and Ramon Llull University for projects on lyophilization optimization, continuous flow chemistry, and pharmaceutical materials. His research output includes 15 publications since 2000, with 2023 articles on tri-layered membranes and anti-aging skin testing.
