Alba Antequera

Dr. Alba Antequera is an internal medicine specialist at the Internal Health Department of the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona and an Associate Researcher at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal), affiliated with the University of Barcelona. Her humanitarian work includes collaborations with organizations in Jordan and the Mediterranean Sea.

Her research focuses on clinical studies of Chagas disease and neglected tropical diseases, alongside methodological innovations in prognosis evidence and health equity frameworks. She integrates epidemiological rigor with a focus on marginalized populations.

At the academic level, she teaches courses on imported diseases and global health, including core modules in the Master in Global Health program jointly offered by ISGlobal and the University of Barcelona.
