Alan Jagolinzer is a Professor of Financial Accounting and Vice Dean for Programmes at Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. He co-directs the Centre for Financial Reporting and Accountability (CFRA) and is a member of the Cambridge Corporate Governance Network (CCGN). He holds a BS from Pennsylvania State University, an MBA from Syracuse University, and a PhD from Pennsylvania State University.
His research focuses on financial reporting, international accounting standards, corporate governance, executive compensation, and insider trading. He serves on the editorial boards of the Accounting Review and the Journal of International Accounting Research. Previously, he was a Fellow of the International Accounting Standards Board (2015).
Recent professional activities include organizing the 2025 Cambridge Disinformation Summit, which addressed global disinformation challenges. He frequently contributes to media discussions on financial regulation, executive stock trading, and corporate transparency, appearing in outlets like the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Financial Times.
He advocates for stronger corporate disclosure practices and has written on topics such as cryptocurrency accounting, cannabis industry financial reporting, and the ethical implications of executive compensation during economic crises.
