Alan Irwin is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Political Science at Copenhagen Business School. His academic work intersects social sciences, science and technology studies (STS), and innovation policy, with a focus on the relevance of social sciences in technical and business contexts. He has contributed to journals such as Minerva and Science, Technology & Human Values.
His research explores interdisciplinary collaboration, science policy, and global research evaluation systems. Despite his primary affiliation with the Department of Political Science, he engages with broader societal impacts of academic research, particularly in the Arts and Humanities.
