Dr. Alan Godfrey is an Associate Professor in the Computer and Information Sciences Department at Northumbria University, leading the Digital Health & Wellbeing research group. He serves as Deputy Editor for npj/Nature Digital Medicine and Editor for Maturitas, with editorial roles in multiple journals. His expertise spans wearable technology, AI, machine learning, and biomedical signal processing in healthcare and sports. He holds a BEng and PhD in Biomedical Electronics from the University of Limerick and an MBA from Newcastle University.
