معرفی
Dr. Alan Both is a Senior Lecturer in Geospatial Science at RMIT University's School of Science. His research focuses on spatial indicators for urban health and liveability, agent-based modeling, and transport interventions. He has developed tools like the Australian Urban Observatory and THAT-Melbourne to assess health impacts of urban planning. His work integrates transport networks, synthetic populations, and spatial analytics to evaluate policy outcomes.
Education: PhD in Engineering (2016), BSc in Earth Sciences and BEng (Hons) in Geomatic Engineering (2011), all from the University of Melbourne.
- Projects: AToM (transport simulation for Melbourne), Australian Urban Observatory (liveability mapping), THAT-Melbourne (health impact assessment).
- Grants: NHMRC (JIBE project), VicHealth, iMOVE CRC.
Teaching: Lectured courses on spatial analytics, GIS fundamentals, and spatial information science since 2016.
Labs/Teams: Collaborates with the Centre for Urban Research on urban sustainability and health initiatives.
