Al Slivinski is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Western University. He holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University (1980). His research focuses on political economy, nonprofit organizations, and microeconomics. He teaches courses such as Political Economy I, Microeconomics, Managerial Economics, and Industrial Organization I.
His work explores topics like federal provision of scientific research, nonprofit competition, and team incentives in public organizations. Recent publications include analyses of economic efficiency in federal science funding and private giving's impact on economic segregation.
Dr. Slivinski's research spans interdisciplinary areas, blending economic theory with public policy applications.
