Aksoy, Zeynep is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Relations and Advertising at Izmir University of Economics. Her academic journey began with a BA in International Relations from Istanbul University (1996), followed by an MA (2009) and PhD (2013) in Public Relations and Publicity from Istanbul University and Ege University, respectively. In 2016, she conducted post-doctoral research at Amsterdam University's School for Regional, Transnational, and European Studies under a TÜBİTAK fellowship.
Her research spans Intercultural Communication, Migration, Cultural Identity, and Interpersonal Communication, with recent work focusing on Sustainability Communication in Turkish corporations and Community-Based Health Practices enhancing empathy in healthcare education. She has published extensively on topics like Erasmus students' European identity perceptions, Circassian exile narratives, and ethical dimensions of native advertising.
